When travelers are looking for a tantalizing vacation destination to enjoy this summer, a trip to the Coachella Valley promises to inspire. Situated between the Santa Rose and San Jacinto Mountains, the Coachella Valley puts visitors in a prime place to reach places like Joshua Tree National Park, amazing dining options, and top shopping stops too. Nine cities make up the greater Coachella Valley area including Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella, Cathedral City, and Indian Wells too. Each comes with its own charm and this summer, each has its own event lineup for travelers to experience as well! The following are just a few of the top Coachella events you simply won’t want to miss out on while you’re in the area.
Enjoy the Splash House Festival in August
If you find yourself in the Coachella Valley area in August and you’re spending time in scenic Palm Springs, you’ll be right on schedule to enjoy the Splash House Festival weekend from August 11th through the 13th. Hosted at the Palm Springs Convention Center, this music festival involves three host resorts and a ton of amazing music to be enjoyed as well. General admission can be purchased in advance with prices ranging from $180 up to $350 depending on seating options. This is a vibrant and fun event that locals and visitors alike look forward to each year!
Take Part in a Summer Meditation Experience
When you need to balance out your high-energy summer fun with some Zen and centering too, booking your spot at the Summer Meditation event in Palm Springs is always a good idea. This dual summer meditation experience and nature retreat is hosted by Rv. Keith Horwitz each year and in 2023 it will be held on July 13th and 14th. Participants will make their way to the top of Mt. San Jacinto sitting at 8,500 feet above sea level to enjoy spectacular views over Palm Springs as well as a retreat experience focused on nature, finding your sense of well-being and mindfulness too. The location situated among mountain pines means you’ll enjoy a retreat and meditation experience that happens at an average temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit instead of the average 95 degrees that’s often recorded at ground level this time of year in Palm Springs. Along the way, you’ll meet wonderful people, learn new techniques, and enjoy time away from the hustle this summer to focus on a quiet moment instead.
See Paramore in Palm Desert
Music enthusiasts with a passion for Paramore can come and see Paramore: In North America live in Palm Desert on July 15, 2023. The show is presented by Acrisure Arena and the fun will kick off at 7:00 pm. Head over to 75702 Verner Road with tickets in hand to the performance by this Grammy-nominated American rock band who will be hitting the stage alongside special guest Foals. The stop in Palm Desert is one of 26 cities the band will be visiting on their North American tour in 2023 and the event is meticulously produced by Live Nation. Ticket prices for the show start at $95 and increase to $155 depending on seating.

When you’re heading to the Coachella Valley this summer with kids in tow and you’re looking for an event that will keep everyone in your traveling crew entertained, be sure to enjoy one of the showings that make up the greater Cathedral City Summer Movies Series!
